CleanSpark is one of the largest bitcoin miners in the United States. It owns and runs data centres in Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi and Wyoming with around a gigawatt of power capacity, filled with machines that mine bitcoin.
Because large, powered sites are scarce, CleanSpark is now converting some of them into data centres for AI and high-performance computing, leased to technology companies.
CleanSpark began as an energy software and microgrid company and moved into bitcoin mining in 2020. It is headquartered in Henderson, Nevada.
